Wireless not reconnected automatically

One of my laptops occasionaly loses the signal when I'm far from the router and it doesn't reconnect on it's own.
there is no "connect when this network is in range" option in the options. probably because it's only got SP1 installed.

can I update just that part without having to install SP2 or SP3?

---------- Post added at 18:18 ---------- Previous post was at 17:17 ----------

Scrap that. I just installed SP2 to get the reconnect option.

Thanks for the help anyway

Re: Wireless not reconnected automatically

glad to see you got it sorted, out of interest, why not SP3? and why have you not got automatic updates on? especially when running an older OS, you should make sure you have the latest updates to make sure any security loopholes are patched

Re: Wireless not reconnected automatically

you can set it to download but not install, might be an option. I personally let it do its own thing, I make sure all security updates are installed asap etc.

you could have gone straight to SP3 btw

Re: Wireless not reconnected automatically

I read that you need at least 1a to be able to go straight to 3. I only had 1. so 2 followed by 3.
