Is this slow?
I had to undelete a lot of programs and it took quite a while. Took a video of some of the undeletes. Is this menu responsiveness and performance what other people are getting? Or is this indicative of a different problem?

Mines not that slow in the undelete section but that section is the slowest part of the UI for me.

Re: Is this slow?
I've just posted on the 'My Experience with TiVo' thread about general slowness with my box. Check out the growing list of people this affects here:
http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...wn/td-p/482887
As I say in my original post, what's the point of having 1TB if the box becomes very slow when it's around 25% full?

Re: Is this slow?
Proof? No. Reading loads of posts on this forum and others about TiVo's slowing down? Yes.
There is no doubt that many are now seeing the red circle more frequently and for longer than when their boxes first went it. My worry is that this problem could get worse as the box fills up, leaving us with enough spare space to have gone for the upcoming 500GB TiVo instead.

Re: Is this slow?
I suffer from random slowdowns and am at 44% at the moment. VM are being pretty positive with updates though and are identifying customer complaints and addressing them. The more people they get onto Tivo, the more feedback they will get. I am pretty confident bugs and features will be removed/added as the months progress.
Compared to V+ Tivo is miles better, IMO.

Re: Is this slow?
I'm not sure used space has anything to do with it. Im at 16% and it's as slow as the day installed, and the video is representative of all my menus.
On the space issue, how do you find the total space used, as my 16% doesn't include the deleted programs, and I've got a lot?

Yes l agree with you that the tivo is far superior to Virgins other older boxes.

I don't think you can. Have you tried a manual "delete for ever" on all your deleted stuff to see if it gets faster. Not suggesting it as something to do from now on but just as a diagnostic tool.

My tivo is wonderfully responsive but its obvious some customers are unhappy about the speed of their tivo but l certainly don,t believe their lack of speed is down to their recordings or deleted recordings filling up the hard drive.
