Resume playing / start from beginning - rentals

My wife rented a flim from movies on demand yesterday. She said it was good and I ought to watch it today. So I go to current rentals, select the film and then see only one option, "Resume Playing" which resumes from where it left off, which is near end of film (credits).

How do I get back to the start?

The on demand rewind is only about 2x speed, so if I rewind illl have to wait nearly and hour.

Considering films are kept for 2 days, it seems like watching rentals more than once is something VM encourage, so this ought to be achievable.

I'm currently forwarding to the end to see if that let's me start from beginning...

Doesn't holding down the back button for a second or two take you to the start? Maybe that only works with recordings.

Instead of rewinding have you tried fast-forwading to the end and then see if it willlet you watch from the start? Just a thought.

Sweet! Another hidden gem of a feature. Really the menu should have the same options as the playing a recording, I.e. Resume Playing and play from Beginning

Whilst rewinding hit the skip back button?

edit: too late!

I think I got that from the hints and tips thread in the VM community forum. It's worth a read.
