Last night at about 23.15. I switched my V+ box off, left the room for about 5 minutes, when I came back in the box was back on, with a blank screen and the words Virgin Media on it, this stayed there for a few minuted then the box turned itself off. I know that similar things have been reported with TIVO boxes but has anybody else had this happen with a V+ box?

It sound like the box re-booted itself? Did you notice the front of the box?
When switched off the box just showed the time as usual, when I returned to the room it was showing Channel 101, as I was not in the room at the moment it switched back on I cant say if anything else had appeared.

If you had seen the front of the box it would have been like AP52 (Something like this) So it seems like the box had completed the re-boot cycle for some reason.
