Dual Band

Hi All

I know it is either or at the moment, but with the appropriate firmware would the superhub be technically capable of becoming a dual band router?

Sorry if this has been discussed to death already!

Cheers

The only one they supply sfaik is 2.4GHz and it comes free with 50Mbps.

Concurrent dual band requires more hardware which many probably wouldn't use.

Cheapest option would be to run superhub on 5GHz and use an old wireless router as a 2.4GHz AP

The D-Link adaptor is 2.4GHz but the Netgear one is dual channel.

Re: Dual Band

I got the Netgear WNR111 with is 2.4GHz only. Admittedly that was an error when I first signed up on 20Mbps which they tried to charge for but I got refunded. Like most I got nothing when I upgraded to 50Mbps but didn't ask as I'd already had a freebie plus all my kit apart from a phone, a Kindle, and an iPad is wired anyway
