It's a very prickly subject, even with Algerians who have lived in France for generations and mostly integrated. They are now under intense pressure from some muslim groups to return completely to a muslim way of life. Or face violence and even death.
The veil law is being ignored by many police forces as they fear attacks for upholding the law. Any sudden crackdown WILL result in severe violence in many parts of France.

I know there are many places in London which are majority muslim but nothing like this, i dont see people being attacked, raped or murdered just because they are not muslim or white.
Anyway, im a muslim and don't think i have any problems in the UK, im treated fairly the whole time i've been here and i treat everyone else the same. I have come accross some racists but they get what they give...
