Magic eye type device for controlling TiVo from bedroom

Hope you are all well...

We are having Tivo installed at the end of the month and moving from sky. I have previously asked a similar question but given that we are now getting Tivo instead of a normal V+ box the answers may well be different.

What I need to know though is there something like a magic eye like sky do for controlling the Tivo top box from another room?

We currently have our sky hd box with a magic eye connected via RF cable to the bedroom which is good as means we can watch things off the box in the lounge we have recorded.

We have it connected via a HDMI splitter box (see below link) which splits the HD signal from the sky hd box so we get full hd in the bedroom...

I know the normal V+ boxes need a remote extender like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Powermid-XL/...8381848&sr=1-2 but does anyone know if the Virgin Tivo will work like the sky box with the magic eye?

Thank you.
