When is the next software update planned?
Will the next one include a 7 day epg like we used to have (im ex-ntl), will it have better organising eg. guide menu seems a bit misleading. Will it seem finished because i think current epg looks unfinished and seems to lack features
if anybody knows thanks

They apparently reduced the guide from 7 days to 3, and then to 1 because apparently the older boxes couldn't handle the amount of data necessary, so they may not increase it again with just a software upgrade.

Re: When is the next software update planned?
I never used to watch TV much and went over to V+ for other members of the household . . . now it is SO easy to record programmes and whole series, and SO easy to find them and watch them at MY convenience, I now watch and enjoy TV so much more than I have for years!
The V+ box is brilliant and, in three months, I have had no problems at all. Highly recommended

Re: When is the next software update planned?
Yup. You set yourself up there...
I notice, that when she has the TV 99% of the time, I record my stuff, and watch it when I want to. Its a lot better than scheduling, especially if your a low user!
I was peed off that they reduced the EPG guide. It is definetly a bad move. If the boxes cant handle it, they need to replace the boxes.
when you see an ad on TV, youd have to write it down to remember it, instead of a few clicks and booking it in.
They need to change that.
Funny, how the Box cant handle a 7 Day EPG, yet they expect it to handle a shiny new service called BBC iPlayer...

Re: When is the next software update planned?
It would be nice to get rid of the older boxes .I think there is somthing going on at the moment as i have not had any phase 1 and 2 boxes for a long time now .But it will be down to cost as there is a lot of older boxes out there .Lets hope the upgrades can fix some of the known fauts on here fingers crossed

Re: When is the next software update planned?
Yea. I might just phone them up and get them to send out one of the new boxes. Are they self install these days? I think if we could all do this, it could send a message to VM.

not only that ned, theyre sending them without remotes, when you check out the pamphlet sent in the box it shows your 'shiny new cable box' as an old pace box and the remote as a V+ remote

Where as if they get a samsung box and they call in, then they can just be told its a better box than the one pictured.
