I think Tivo would have to be a free service to comply with Spotifys "Non Commercial Use" api rules

no, shouldn't be a problem... you pay for your broadband don't you? That gives you access to Spotify, The App itself would be free to access for TiVo users.

VM would have to do a deal with Spotify of course!

Would seem a bit curious offering an audio streaming service on a pvr especially given existing music videos available on VoD. Stranger things have happened I guess.

I can get radio throught the V+ , not a massive difference
