Star Trek Next Gen SyFy- Not in HD?
What is going on? It supposed to be in HD for series 4 yet it is only in SD? There is a HUGE difference in quality!

They have started season 5 so have reverted to SD.

The HD versions are only available to air once the Bluray of that season has been released. Only 4 seasons have been converted to HD so far
S5 - 19 Nov 2013
S6 - around Q1 2014
S7 - around Q2 2014
I really looking forward to when they start on DS9 - would love to rewatch it all again in HD.

I've not seen SyFy show S3 in HD yet - even though they started that after the Blu Ray release
Paramount / CBS probably allowed S1 and S2 on SyFy as a promo for the Blu Ray releases.

Ahh right, thanks for that. Very annoying, they should have delayed it as it is false advertising from them! All the adverts have said that Star Trek is in hd when it is not!

I see where I went wrong as I am about 4 days behind on watching them so still on the old series which is marked in the epg as HD. Now when I look at the epg the new series are not marked as HD.

S3 was in HD on the last run - I didn't see S4, but I believe that was too.

Yup S3 and S4 were HD, but for S5 is still in SD...

was DS9 shot on film or video? If video then a HD version may it be possible.
