V+ menu VCR/DVD

I know this is an old chestnut but I can't remember the answer!

Could someone please confirm that when viewing V+ via video out scart connected to video/dvd recorder/player it is not possible to view V+ menu options etc.

If I'm right is there a way to enable the menu options so they can be viewed?

It would be useful for dubbing purposes.

My SA V+ box is enabled for HD viewing and connected to tv with hdmi lead.

Re: V+ menu VCR/DVD

No, it is not. The hardware required to generate the menus is only connected to the HDMI and TV Scart..

The TV Scart is disabled when the HDMI cable is used.

I'm not sure I understand the point you are trying to make here?

I was well aware that the OP had an SA V+ but thought it useful to confirm for him that (his) SA V+ did not deliver the menus but that it may be interesting for him to know that the other (Samsung) V+ did.

...and the OP did thank me for my confirmation so he saw nothing to comment on in my post.
