External Hard Drive
Hey guys, looking for another external hard disk, as my Seagate drive went kaput, and couldn't be repaired. Am currently looking at this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LaCie-Hard-D...2039360&sr=8-1 but am open to suggestions as I would like one that is going to be reliable. Max budget is £65.00
TIA

Re: External Hard Drive
ALDI are selling a 500Gb USB drive for under £60 if you're quick... it self-powers off the USB socket. My son is using one on his TV to turn it into a PVR.

You should have gone to specsavers. The first drive is a 1Tb, the second is a 2Tb.

Re: External Hard Drive
Aria are selling off a Michael Jackson 'This is it' Gold coloured 500Gb 2.5 inch external drive for £37.49 (it's a Samsung S42 S2 drive). Not everyone's taste, but a bargain price for a 500Gb drive. http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/...roductId=39481

Re: External Hard Drive
I have 3 2tb western digital drives in my pc and they are fast and quiet and run cool.
How about getting a normal hdd and then get a caddie for it as it will then cost you around £60 or maybe even less dependant on where, you buy the drives from.

It normally just slot's in and then the lid slides closed not hard really but some do ask you to screw the drive in so that, if you are going to be moving it around then the drive doesn't move inside it.
