FF 4 beta
Well it still works ok with Cable Forum but I'm finding the way it keep randomly changing task bars around so that I can't find the favourites/bookmarks in the same place from day to day is becoming annoying.Plus most of my addons and plugins don't work with it..
Suddenly tonight everything is hidden under an orange drop down box on the left in the blue bar and file has vanished. But I also have a bookmarks dropdown box in black over on the right in the 3rd taskbar down.
And according to the update history there has been no update..
Irritating to say the least.

I'm thinking I may have to with IE8 for the time being..at lest that doesn't shift around.

Re: FF 4 beta
It sounds as though you've had a bad download Maggy.
I must be lucky because all my add-ons seem to be working well on the 4 beta 6 version. The only things that have disappeared regularly have been my ABP and NoScript temp allow icons, although the extensions themselves seem to work regardless of the AWOL bits.
The one thing I can't get used to though is having my tabs at the top of the screen and I have opted to have them in their lower position.

Re: FF 4 beta
If anyone is having bothers with their add ons in FF4 there is a compatibility reporter,
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/15003/
Or type about :config in the address bar, right click a blank area and go to to new, boolean, then type extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0b into the box and select false.
Incompatable add ons will install and work but maybe not as smooth as planned..

Try Slimbrowser. It's IE with a new GUI and some bells and whistles thrown in.
Seems very fast when compared to FF.

Re: FF 4 beta
Never had a problem with Firefox 4 as of yet, if i had to change to another browser it would be Google Chrome.

Re: FF 4 beta
Hi
Firefox-4.0b7 is almost ready.
I'm running Firefox-4.0b7 Release Candidate 1 with Linux.
There's a Windows version too.
Here:- https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla....1/win32/en-GB/
It's long overdue, so I suppose they have been working hard to get rid of bugs from beta 6.
The progress bar has been removed from the bottom of the screen - there's a bit more 'real estate' now.
