Will Virgin replace my V+Box?

I have a Cisco V Box HD which has been driving me mad recently.

I've changed shifts at my work and my main viewing time is now between 11:00pm - 5:00am. I'm having the following issues that are no longer bearable, and only seem to happen during this window of time. The box performs brilliant at all other times.

Problem 1: The EPG runs terribly slow
Problem 2: Channels changes are ridiculously slow
Problem 3: On demand content hardly ever works at the 1st or 2nd attempt
Problem 4: It takes ages to scroll through the recordings I've made
Problem 5: When watching a recorded programme if I try to fast forward past adverts the fast forward facility gets stuck and keeps on going until it decides to stop.
Problem 6: Reboot, reboot, reboot
Problem 7: EPG takes about 10 mins to update after reboot
Problem 8: Is it my imagination of does the box get louder at night?

Are these issues commonly associated with the Cisco box or would I have the same issues with the Samsung version?

I pay allot of money now that I'm on VIP50 but I'm getting zero viewing pleasure. Do I have the right to request a new box, free of charge, or am I stuck with this problem?

Any help or advice would be great as this is really making me

You could call in and tell them of your issue and they may send an engineer out but if they swap the box you would only get whatever is on the van which may be another SA box (I assume you mean that as there is no Cisco branded V+ even though they bought SA) which is susceptible to the same issues at that time in the morning.

Re: Will Virgin replace my V+Box?

Does this happen to everyone regardless of what type of V+ box they have then?

What can I realistically do? The box just seems to have a mind of it's own. I'm finding it difficult to accept that I don't receive the same level of service 24/7. I've started watching Freeview as it's less hassle but totally defeats the purpose of me paying almost £100.00 per month to Virgin for their services.

Does anyone know what causes these issues?

Re: Will Virgin replace my V+Box?

If you are having issues with the box then you will need to call technical support who will connect remotely to the box and run some tests with yourself and if they find an issue an engineer will be sent out to fix the fault or replace it.

As you mention recordings I assume that you have a Scientific Atlanta or a Samsung V+ as the Cisco VHD box does not have a recording capability.
