Ex-Rugby League Player 'Commits Suicide'

R.I.P Terry you will be missed

Quote:
Former Great Britain rugby league player Terry Newton has been found dead in a suspected suicide, according to Sky sources.
Quote:
Human growth hormone (HGH) was found in a blood sample collected during out-of-competition testing in November 2009.

The hooker, who also played for Leeds, Wigan and Bradford, accepted the charge uncontested, according to the UK Anti-Doping agency.

At the time, it said: "Mr Newton will be ineligible to play, coach or otherwise participate in any World Anti-Doping Code-compliant sport until 23 November 2011."

Terry Newton admitted what he did was wrong. However it was hoped he would take on a role advising youngsters joining the game of the pitfalls of using drugs and showing them how it can destroy a person's carrier. It looks like Terry Newton decided he could not live without being involved in the game and took his own life.

I watched him in an interview on Sky sports only a couple of weeks ago and you could see the pain in his face for what he had done and lost
