I have a V+ HD Box downstairs in my home. And all of a sudden the box stopped recording my planned programs and a message came up on my screen which said that the V+ wasn't working..etc
I reset my box and it sounds like the Hard Drive is clicking a good 5-6 times during boot up and when I go to record it does not let me again!
I gather I would need to phone up Virgin and get a replacement box?
Now the account holder is not at home right now would I be able to phone up and get this sorted are does she need to phone up?
I dont have Virgin tv but have you tried turning of the box and plugging it out and wait for a few seconds before you plug it back in. Turn on the box and it might work. Also only the account holder can talk to the service provider so no you would be waisting your time phoning them up.
Services: Samsung V+ XL TV
XL Phone
30Mb Superhub
Samsung Galaxy 3 32GB sd card In a world of no buffering!

Re: Recording Function Dead?
If it is a fault then you can ring up and report it but if you get offshore you might be told otherwise, if they do ring up tomorrow after 0800 and they will run diagnostics and if required book an engineer for you.
The account holder only needs to be present if the is a need to pass DPA and with a fault issue the should be no requirement.
