Sky Sports 1 HD looks dull and Sky Sports 2 HD looks crisp ??

I posted earlier about my Espn HD looking better than my new Sky Sports HD picture, this was the case only compared to Sky Sports 1 HD, im rather baffled as my SS2HD looks amazing and crisp but my SS1HD looks dull and like a SD broadcast and no where as near good as my SS2, any idea how this could be happening ???

some of the sport in SS1HD was in SD according to the Virgin EPG

If a program is in HD the VIirgin EPG says (HD) in brackets

At the moment Speedway on SSDHD1 looks crisp but i think the program on before that was in SD..

I might be wrong

Just to add Football Greatest after the speedway is in SD but on SS1HD

For some reason the cricket highlights in the morning were in HD, but later in the day looked like they were in SD. Don't know why.

Also, it seems to be that if a programme is in HD, the on-screen logo will say "Sky Sports HD1", but if it's in SD just "Sky Sports". Again though during the later highlights of the cricket it said "Sky Sports HD1" although it was clearly in SD.

Question Re: Sky Sports 1 HD looks dull and Sky Sports 2 HD looks crisp ??

I would love to know how much of the SKY sports 1&2 channels programes are broadcast in HD. At the moment there is a badly stretch 4:3 poker tournament on SSHD1

It could just be teething problems, I am sure once it settles and VM have a good idea of how many have subbed, the channels will be tweaked and adjusted to suit.

Watching The Terminator 2 and couldn't be happier with the quality of it. They just need to make it fill the whole screen.
