Croydon problems-in need of advice

Heya all.new face to the forums here and hoping some of you guys who are maybe "more in the know" might be able to offer me some advice.

The problems here started towards the end of May,during particularly hot days both the TV service and the Broadband service would drop connection roughly every 30-40 mins and reconnect excatly after 6-7 minutes without fail.

Obviously this means both my services are pretty much unusable during hot days for 4-5 hours a day in the afternoon and after posting on their support forums i am still waiting for a fix and some answers, see here:

http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...ems/td-p/64367

So according to VM there was a problem with an overheating cabinet which was fixed, after a call last Friday the best i got out of them was "we'll send a tech round, your modem power levels are alittle bit too high",which left me pretty much speechless as it's kind of obvious the same cabinet problem is happening again.

I am frankly at my wits ends with their support and service in general and looking for advice on what i could/should do next to actually get this resolved, whether this "overheating"problem is actually possible and hoping someone here can offer some further insight into this.

Best regards

Sorry to hear your having these problems, whilst I can't offer any useful info on your issues it may be worth your while raising a complaint via the Contact us option on the VM website, you may well get some resolution via that route.

Hope it gets sorted for you.

Hi to the forum

I've checked those ticket references and they are all for over-heating on the cab. The cab will probably need a new fan fitted to stop further issues, although it looks like it was replaced on 24th May?

Probably the best route for you would be to write a letter of complaint, you can find the address on our contact page on www.virginmedia.com
