Not recording complete programmes
Set my V+ to record some programmes whilst on holiday - most recordings ended early, after about 15min and one 30 min. V+ claimed full time for recordings 1hr7min. Is this a common fault? Recordings were in HD Ch4 & BBC1. Not all available on catch up any longer.......

Sorry to hear that, bonzoe. I've not had that problem. You may need to re-boot.

Re: Not recording complete programmes
Thanks Old Boy, it has recorded OK since I came home, but it has been rebooted.......may have been the cause.
Forgot to mention, when returning from holiday the on screen message said to insert card into slot...........strange thing is, all recordings started on time, and non were on subscription channels.

I haven't heard of that one for a while.
Sometimes this can be caused by poor signals. Do you get picture break-up when watching these channels live?

No picture breakup watching live, or indeed in the recordings as far as they went.

Re: Not recording complete programmes
Ah, didn't notice post #3 earlier. That makes a big difference. It seems likely the card wasn't seated properly. (All HD channels are subscription. It also needs the card to enable the V+ functions)

Re: Not recording complete programmes
Seems odd that it started the recordings, but card not seated properly may be the cause. Seem to get more card problems with this box than previous boxes, can't correct it when away!
Thanks for your help.
