starview 5 usb cablebox

The starview 5 usb box that i bought on may 31 2010 works perfectly apart from one thing when i connect the vcr and turn on vcr there is no sound all connections are ok i have even changed scart leads but it makes no difference. As soon as i turn vcr off sound returns. My son has a different make box ive tried that with my set up and it works perfectly with vcr. The company that sold me the box say there could be a problem with box but are reluctant to do anythng as all communication is by E-Mail and a 48hour lag between messages i could name the company in question but for now i want to know if there are any ideas out there as to the problem that i have, and what i could do

Re: starview 5 usb cablebox

Starview boxes are not supplied by Virgin Media and thus against thier terms and conditions. As such we do not allow such devices to be discussed on Cableforum.
