Re: facebook not displaying correctly in IE8 and FF3.6

Any ideas it seems to also happen on my mums other machines as well and they running xp pro sp3 with ie7 I even tried it on a virtual machine with ie6. The styling is non-existant and makes facebook un-usable.

fixed it. on her router the router was filtering urls which must of only be interferring with facebook as other sites worked fine.

Re: facebook not displaying correctly in IE8 and FF3.6

Problem is back again.

Settings have not changed. On her laptop(using wifi) she can use/see facebook without a problem on your main pc which is cabled to her router it takes ages to load and no styling is applied. I think the styling is not being applied because the ajax calls/page load are taking so long.

Any ideas?

I would try clearing the browser cache & see if that helps.
