windows updates

there is a windows update that i do not want to install , but because of this i keep getting the message new up date are available popping up .

Is there a way you can tell the updates that you dont want this update so it wont keep telling you .

I know you can untick the box to say dont install but the message will not go away by that alone.

Re: windows updates

Fudge someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to remember that if you right click on the offending update, you can hide it and it doesn't then keep reminding you of it.
