Send signal to 2nd TV
I'm having a V+HD Box installed in the living room, is there anyway I can link it up to the tv in the kitchen, so I can watch whatever is on the tv in the lounge while I'm cooking dinner? I don't really want another V+ box as we will have 3 already and only use the kitchen telly for an hour or so a day. We dont have an ariel so can't use a freeview box.
Please explain any solution in simple terms as I'm not too technically minded.

Re: Send signal to 2nd TV
This will do you http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...7C14419542.htm, basically, you hook up the transmitter to the VCR SCART socket on the V+ box and then plug the receiver into the Kitchen TV and you can view whatever is on the V+ wirelessly. You can also change the channel on the remote from the Kitchen.

Re: Send signal to 2nd TV
Like I said I'm not too technical but I get the impression from other posts that if you are using the HDMI output on the V+ box then the scart output is disabled. Is that correct?

Re: Send signal to 2nd TV
The TV SCART socket is but the VCR SCART socket isn't and it works all the same

Re: Send signal to 2nd TV
But doesn't the VCR Scart not display the menus?

Depends, if it's an SA V+ then it doesn't show the menus the but if it's a Samsung then it does show the menus

Re: Send signal to 2nd TV
what about the VHD box? I have one coming in a couple of weeks, and we have one of those video senders, will the scart on the back of that work, to feed the tv in folks room?

Re: Send signal to 2nd TV
The scart socket only works when recording to VCR if you have HDMI enabled. So you would have to pretend to record something for it to work.
If your TV in the kitchen has HDMI or DVI, you could use a HDMI splitter, there about £25, It's what I did and works great. Somthing like this.

Wrong, the VCR socket displays whatever channel you are watching and has done for quite some time.

Re: Send signal to 2nd TV
Thanks everyone. Got the item from Argos that Ben B recommended. Worked great, and easy to install, but had lots of interference from something. Prob wireless network which we use all the time. Argos refunded my money no problem. So back to drawing board. May have to have another v box!!!
