he deserves to have the book thrown at him ,an example must be made to show other nutters that this behavior will not be tolerated .

Because giving him what he deserves may infringe on his human rights.... Or some such....

Re: Surviving Mumbai gunman convicted over attacks
Most of these nut jobs generally want death and the so called martyrdom is brings them. Why give them what they want? Stick them in the coldest dankest dungeon they have and let the bugger stew in his own misery for the next 50 years, or however long he survives in whatever rat infested hole they throw him in.
Death, and the end it brings them, is too good for these types of people in my humble opinion. I`m sure if any of the victims were my own family i`d be all for inflicting violence back in return but not death, i wouldn`t be that kind.

Somehow, I think they have less of a concern on that score in India than we do here. In this country he'd probably be due for parole soon.

Go on, then - give us an example where someone been convicted of directly killing seven people, conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of the 166 people killed, waging war against the UK, and causing terror, and has been let out on parole five days after being found guilty, with compulsory benefits for themselves and their family.
Or are you just making it up as you go along?
(btw, just in case you are thinking of using your caveat " probably" as a get-out clause, the definition of "probably" is "almost certainly; as far as one knows or can tell".

Humour is probably not one of your strong points.

Actually, it is - but I get sick to death of people making vastly exaggerated claims about " political correctness gorn mad" which read like Daily Mail/Richard Littlejohn headlines, and feel the need to respond with requests for facts to back up the hyperbole (unkind of me, I know........ )
re your attempt at humour - to paraphrase Bob Monkhouse -
"They laughed when you said you were going to be a comedian. They're not laughing now"
