Question scart signal when turning on the TV

Hi,

When I turn the TV on I get a blue screen with 2 on it.
Which means it going via scart socket 2. However I turned the TV on to channel one.

It is like the V Box is sending a scart signal to the TV.

Also when I put the TV to channel one and then later try and turn on the V Box I have to turn it on then off then back on before before the TV change to scart 2.

It only started when we got the V Box, any idea what the problem is?

Re: scart signal when turning on the TV

You need to turn off auto-detect.

On the V Box go to "Guide" and then "Settings". Select "Display and Audio" and set the last option "TV auto-detects V Box (SCART) to off.

Re: scart signal when turning on the TV

Thanks for the reply.
The problem with this, is when I turn on the box the TV doesn't pick it up.

However I have changed the scart cable, to the one that came in V Box and that seem to have fixed the problem.

Re: scart signal when turning on the TV

spoke to soon.
Just turned the TV on and got the blue screen with 2 on it. Which means it looking on scart socket 2.

So I turned off the V Box and back on and it was fine again. Maybe a fault on the box. Getting a V+ fitted Monday so I hope that box doesn't do it.

Re: scart signal when turning on the TV

If you are connecting the V+ to the TV via a HDMI lead then you will have to select the HDMI AV channel manually.
