Email and new iphone

I am very quickly getting very confused and despite having looked all over the place a little unclear - what I "simply" want to do is to configure my iphone to receive emails and for the same emails to be received on my outlook 2003. I have been aware that since the email upgrade - some emails that are received on the iphone do not appear on outlook when it is subsequently opened.

Apologies for being an idiot - but I would be very grateful to receive the benefit of the advice of a friendly Cable Forum poster to help me out with this. Many thanks in advance.

Re: Email and new iphone

It would be helpful to know which email service you are using.

Are you using POP3 or IMAP4 access to get your emails?

Re: Email and new iphone

Pop3 wouldn't allow you to make emails show on both outlook and the iphone. You would need to use IMAP4 instead. This allows you to see the same set of emails on multiple devices.

Re: Email and new iphone

You can use multiple devices with POP3. All you need to do is add recent: to the beginning of the username and make sure your clients are set to leave mail on the server.

The first time you do it you will get all your mail for the last 30 days but it will then be setup so both devices get each email.
