Re: Modem Advice Please

Your Receive Power Level looks to be out of whack.

If you have a problem with your broadband you need a Tech to sort it.

If you haven't a problem then don't worry about it.

Mick
Thanks for the reply. What sort of level should I expect for the recieve. Im on 20mb and am having issues getting nowhere near that.
When you say a tech, is that a visit to my home. Would it have anything to do with the fact the installation guy split off my neighbours cable and did not run our own cable to the street?

Thanks in advance. This forum is a life saver and a wealth of knowledge.

Re: Modem Advice Please

You should have your own cable run installed and any temporary fix such as yours should be rectified as soon as possible by having a repull of the cable to your property.

15.9 is very high for your connection and ideally should be as close to Zero as possible, if you are having any issues then you need to call Tech Support which is open 24/7 on 151 from your Virgin Media Phone.

It's absolutely free.

Or call 0845 454 1111 from any other phone line.
