Watching up Sky after switch to Virgin?

I am very close to switching to Virgin TV from Sky.

One issue will be that we have a lot of unwatched stuff on the Sky box.

After switching to Virgin, is it possible to leave the Sky box plugged in to watch up the old stuff? Or unplug the V box and plug in the Sky box temporarily?

Thanks

Re: Watching up Sky after switch to Virgin?

I beleave (though not 100% sure) that once you can only use the sky+ features if you have an active sky+ subscription. meaning once your subscription ends you will no longer have access to the recorded stuffon your sky+ box. though you could downgrade your sky sub for there freesat from sky package (no running cost) and just pay the 10 p/m fee till you've watched everything.

Alternativly backup everything in your hdd to a vhd/dvd and watch them when ever you want.

Thanks for quick reply!

I realised that recording it all was an option, so was looking for alternatives. I hadn't realised about the £10 per month option.

I think I might have to go down the recording option in case some of the recorded stuff is not on the Freesat list.
