V+ record to DVD sound only?
Sorry if this thread is a repeat but I can't find one that gives a definitive answer on this ...
Just got V+ recently and pretty happy with it all.
Came across the record to DVD feature but it isn't working.
I can get sound on the DVD but no picture.
It's the same with recorded V+ output or straight from a channel.
V+ box is connected to TV via HDMI and Scart. DVD recorder is connected to V+ box via Scart.
If I play a(nother) DVD the picture comes through to the TV fine.
The DVD recordings worked fine with my previous SD box.
Is there anything I can do to solve this? Thanks.

Re: V+ record to DVD sound only?
Check that the scart lead is fully pushed in and try another lead

Re: V+ record to DVD sound only?
This is odd, is it the same if you have HDMI off, or if you try a different SCART on the DVD recorder.

Re: V+ record to DVD sound only?
Sorry for jumping your thread but have a similar question why you on the copy to dvd query....
Think I only used this option twice but both times was with my old tv and setup, now I have an HDTV with V+ box connected via the HDMI cable, so my question is.... If I want to copy something to a dvd do I need to replace the scart lead? The guy at Comet told me I wouldnt need the scart once I'D setup the HDMI connection.
cheers Ram

Re: V+ record to DVD sound only?

Re: V+ record to DVD sound only?
The problem sounds like your DVD scart input is set to RGB. The Virgin box will only output composite through the video scart. You should be able to change this in your DVD recorder's setup menu.
Hope that helps!
