Grrrrrr! Padding suddenly stopped

Hi all,

I'm so so annoyed with my V+ box, been working fine since install, then tonight it has decided not to record padding anymore and so missed the first couple of minutes of Doctor Who and, more importantly, the end !

It has also not bothered recording the padding on 2 subsequent programmes.. Is there any way to kick it back into normal operation? I've powered down but still the same..

Ta

Re: Grrrrrr! Padding suddenly stopped

If you have two programmes set to record where the padding on each one will clash I think it cancels the padding all together.

Cheers Ben, but there was nothing else set to record at 7pm.. I've set something to record at 22:00 so I'll see if it starts in a couple of mins..

Re: Grrrrrr! Padding suddenly stopped

This is a very strange one if nothing else is planned to record, was there anything set to record before or after Doctor Who?

I think the answer lies here. Did you have two recordings starting at 8pm? If so, it would need to drop the padding, otherwise it would be trying to record 3 things for a few minutes.

It's annoying that it drops more padding than necessary though.

Hi,

Yeah, I think thats it.... It has recorded the padding for the programme I set at 22:00 ok... Very Very annoying that it didn't give me any options though. I'd rather have cancelled one of the later programmes than miss the last few minutes of Doctor Who, I've only been waiting 6 months for it !

Perhaps the padding should be included in the recording clash logic, so the options should be presented as cancel a subsequent recording or remove the padding...?
