Question Sound Issues

Hi,

I am using the V+ box connected via HDMI. I appear to be experiencing some sound issues - as in its as if the sound goes from a mono signal to a stereo one which is kind of bizarre.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Liam

Re: Sound Issues

Not really. As you say, it's kind of bizarre.

Give us a clue what you've got it connected to, and why you think it is mono. Any particular channels affected?

Re: Sound Issues

Thanks, I have it connected to a Sony 37" 1080p tv and it's been happening since I set the box to 1080, however I have looked at the FAQ's, so thanks Moldova and it may be because I have the HDMI Audio Override 'on' will turn it off and check it then.

Thanks guys, sorry to have to bump the post but the good lady was moaning about the audio!!

Re: Sound Issues

The Audio Override will switch between 5.1 (when available) and stereo, but can't give you mono. So why do you think it's mono?

Does your TV tell you what format it thinks it is receiving?

Re: Sound Issues

I don't think it's mono, it was the only way I could describe how the sound changes!

It appears to have settled now and hasn't happenned. There is no way that i know of that the tv can actually tell me what it thinks it's receiving.

Thanks again guys, it is appreciated.
