TV VIDEO Record problem

hi

Up to last night set up was working ok but now switching on the vidio recorder turns the picture orange and week.

CHANGED : The scart leads : no differance
CHANGED : Video recorder no Differance

there is no RF Leads connected to the Virgin box standard silver one.
and without the video recorder plugged in picture on Tv is fine
plug in all goes orange and week.

We removed a scart lead to the video from the vigin box and connected
the Video via the RF Leads . Same problem on record all is orange
on screen as though signel is week .am completly at a loss what
to try next before dialing India am sure this will baffle them as much
me
