Hi guys,
I am a new customer to Virgin Media.I live in the Manchester Area and have just had three Samsung V+ Boxes installed. (All connected through HDMI)
I have a really annoying fault on all the boxes when using Channel 4 HD.
On selected programmes the 'Audio Description' service can be heard throughout the programme or film and I cannot turn it off. I have made sure in all the settings of the Samsungs that the option to play AD is off yet the AD will not go away.
This only happens on C4 HD (It does not play on normal C4 or C4 Audio Description !) Obviously it doesnt happen all the time because not all programmes have Audio Description but it means I cannot watch or record anything on C4HD on VM in case it is on...it is so annoying (No doubt of great value to visually impaired, but not me)
I have contacted VM tech support and have absolutely gotten nowhere! They tell me that there are no other reports of such faults or that it is C4s fault. (I think that is untrue because I have checked with my Sky HD box that I still have and their service on C4 HD works fine)
I know it seems trivial but C4 HD is a channel my Mrs watches a lot, she really misses her Sky HD box! and I have told her just to watch normal Channel 4 so guess who is getting all the grief
Any ideas ?
