Looking for a new monitor

and other bits.

I've found this site that compares monitors (and other bits) and shows using photos what different monitors look like in different tests so you can "see" which monitor does best at what task and how well it does at other tasks.

Digital Versus is the site, now to find a good general monitor comparable with my CRT to handle
photos (good colour), some games, movies and text.

Favouring the LG W2261V at the mo but would rather something that can do 1600+x1200 (looks OK on 19" CRT). Not too bothered by black lines on wide screen movies.

Re: Looking for a new monitor

why not go for a widescreen with 1920 X 1200 and have the lines down the side of your pics

Samsung SM2433BW for example but expensive

Re: Looking for a new monitor

I'd like under £200 as that's where the LG above fits and getting a good 24" for that price is not easy. The HP LP2475W looks nice but so it should at £450, that would really be our limit though taking our new PC build to the £1500 sort of mark.

The LG is 1920x1080.
