Complete Loss of Internet in Belfast?

Okay, so last night for two hours (9:20pm to 11:30pm) I lost my connection as the ready/sync lights on modem would not show that I had a stable connection. Today after 1pm, the same thing happened again and has for the last 8 hours left me once again, completely cut off and I am wondering if others suffered this too.
