Just phoned for the upgrade from 20

Just done the upgrade from 20 to 30, guy said modem should be here by Wednesday. I take it this is the Superhub which is coming?

Lets hope it works good for me as i read nothing but trouble on the internet with this Superhub.

He asked if i needed an engineer to come install it i said no, was this a mistake as i have also read sometimes power levels need changing etc?

Re: Just phoned for the upgrade from 20

In most cases the are no issues with power levels and not everyone has issues with the Superhub as the are over 200,000 in circulation.

You did the best thing, this means you'll have the old modem to go back to if you have an issue

Once you have the superhub you're stuck with it, even if you wish to "go back" as it will work with 20Meg just fine. If it turns out to be faulty, they'll just send another superhub

Re: Just phoned for the upgrade from 20

Just got my superhub connected but didn't connect to internet first time. rang 151 on virgin phone and nice girl had it up and running in about 5 mins, she just needed to resend the activation signals and do a reboot of hub. So if yours dosn't work first time - DON'T PANIC. And I am saving £7.50 per month as they were still charging me £26 for 10Mb Good Luck

Incase you didn't know it says in the package to ring a number which puts your directly to activation team to activate the Superhub. Looks like someone didn't read the instructions and it does say "READ ME, YOU NEED ME!"

Installed now and working, rock solid router, got hardware version "2.0" and don't have ANY issues with flood control or firewall or anything like that.. WiFi works amazing upstairs in Wireless-N and works in Wireless-G too!

Absolutely happy with this router/modem combination. Solid peice of kit

It is not in every kit nor is the cabling in every kit so not really a case of failing to read the paperwork as it was not in mine but oddly enough I knew who to ring.
