Installing 2 printers

I want to install 2 printers on my PC Both are Epson, one is an R200 the other an R265. Will there be conflicts due to software or would this be possible?

Cheers

Re: Installing 2 printers

you can install them both without issues, but not using them at the same time, you would have to pick 1 as your default other then that no issues what so ever.

at work some pc's have got around 10 lexmark (different models) printers installed and no issues

Re: Installing 2 printers

Gonna have to look into this further tomorrow, thanks for the replys. So far if I install the R200 and then the R265 neither work and I need to uninstall them both reboot and then install the R200 again.

Reason for 2 printers.
R200 prints photo's better than R265 & R265 prints DVD's better so hence the need for 2 printers.

I think tho that the R265 USB cable is 1.1 and not 2.0

Thanks again for the replys.

Re: Installing 2 printers

You might need to look at the printer communication port being setup. If you are using USB for both printers connected to the same PC, it's possible there is some form of conflict.

Printers and Windows? Sure it will.

I think you will need the status monitor for both printers and not just the driver if you want to keep a check on ink levels

you do not even need to do that you can just slect which printer is used for each print job on the fly no need to set a default. If the op leaves it XPS doc writer and selects which printer for each job no mistakes will be made if you select one as default you may end up using it when you do not want to

Re: Installing 2 printers

All sorted, many thanks for the input & replies.

Went through reg removed all references to Epson and R220 + R265 (only where drivers and apps were concerned)

Installed R265 first, drivers & monitor, reboot, installed R200 drivers & monitor.

XPS set as default as Zing recommended.

Thanks again
