Re: Network problem

Just to clarify, Are all 3 machines on the internet and only the laptop isn't on the same lan as the PCs?

Are they all getting their IP addresses dynamically (dhcp)?

Re: Network problem

Sorry I forgotten some info.
I am running XP in all machines. Printer to share is on computer 2 with wireless.
All machine are getting there ip's dynamically.

My computer 1 is wired to router and computer 2 has wireless. I have internet for both computers. Computer1 is wired into router to get internet. The router used is a D link. The computer2 is getting the internet from the router wireless.
I want to share the internet with any laptops that are near but not be able to get onto the LAN.

The problem is that I can not share the files and printer between the 2 computers and keep the laptops from getting onto the LAN (for security).
Not sure what I have to do for this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can email me direct to omegaman at hotmail dot com
