standby mode urgent help pleeeeze

and hello to you all..
Ive just hafd virgin media connected..nd it was working finelast night.
this morning is a different matter..the box is going to standby mode all the time it wont do anything except the lights on the front all go green for minute..then the red standby light comes on then goes off then it goes green then the red light again...its a scientific atlanta box..ive tried undoing the cables...switching it off..holding the start button in for the longest 10 minutes.and its still doing the same thing.
any ideas...its not over heating theres plenty of room around it...
i left it off for a few hours.. and it worked fine for 5 minutes then it started again.

Call Tech Support now on either 151 if on a Virgin Landline or 0845 454 1111 from any other phone as they will be able to diagnose the issue for you.
