Phoneline not ringing in or out

My phonline is not ringing in or out, theres nothing there, its just dead.

I even tried plugging my mates phone in and its still the same.

Also when i tried to e-mail VM from there home page it wouldn't let send the e-mail, i kept getting this message,

Failed to connect to mail server: Bad file number
at /opt/htdocs/help2.virginmedia.com/cgi-bin/formactions/new_kanamail.pl line 559


Can anybody help us out, i need to contact VM asap about my bill.

You need to call them from a mobile or a neighbour's landline on 0845 454 1111. There's no point trying to handle faults by email, it will take too long, if you get a response at all.

The Kana mail system is down at the moment, this is why the e-mail would not send as it would not have given you a reference and would have been lost.

As Chris says it's always better to phone.
