Landline wire stuck - phone broken!
Okay so maybe this isn't specific to VM but i need help with my phone!
I went to use it the other day and there was nothing, no dial tone, nothing. The phone is fine, not showing anything different on the screen.
So i checked the wires and plug, which were fine, except the wire into the wall is stuck, and i can't get it out! So i've unscrewed the front.. See pic 1...
Now i'm wondering if the bit i circled in red in pic 2 is part of the black wire one, because i may resort to a hammer soon
It's so annoying, i have spent a fortune on my PAYG mobile and i thought i'd be able to fix this myself...
What should i do?

Re: Landline wire stuck - phone broken!
The bit circled in red is just the back end of the phone socket aperture.

I don't work with Telco but I would say try posting in the newsgroups to save on phonecalls.
Or you can try the email link below.
I need help with...my Virgin Phone service

Re: Landline wire stuck - phone broken!
From your picture, it looks like the little flap/wing on your phone line plug is broken, you normally depress this flap and then pull the plug out. To get the plug out, you need a jeweller's/watch maker's screw driver set, find a smallish one, insert in between whats remain of the flap and the socket, depress it and you should be able to pull the plug out.

Thank you to whydoineedatech for the link, i filled in the form the night you posted it and the techie has just been out and fixed it.
Well he didn't replace the front of the box on the wall so it's exposed... But it works
