cable wiring

After my message yesterday, -number disdonnected-, it turns out my son had dislodged the wiring from the house socket outlet, moving furniture.
He had connected them back as he thought they had been, but presumably not correctly as it is not working.
I've looked on the web and it seems blue/white should got to terminal B and white/blue to terminal A, with orange/white and white orange unused.
Well, he's put the blue/white and white/blue on those terminals, but the phone is dead. Is it correct that the orange/white and white/orange wires aren't connected to anything?
