Copy to DVD Problem

Right, well I just backed up a film I'd recorded on my V+ box onto DVD using the Copy to DVD/VCR function. However, when I went to play it back I noticed that during the recording, the audio feed had switched from the film to the other recording I had started to watch on the V+ box. Can someone please explain to me why this might have happened and also how I can fix it? I have used the Copy to DVD function many times before and have never had this problem. Any feedback would be really great, thanks

It's quite a common problem. The only solution at the moment is to redo the copy.

The fault may happen less often if you don't change channel on the V+ whilst copying.

Out of interest, do you ever get problems with the picture freezing, blocking or breaking up? I've a theory that the wrong audio may be related to signal errors.

Hi spiderplant. Thanks for the reply. Um, not very often. Do you mean on recordings or general broadcast? I personally think the audio problem maybe linked to the fact that the VCR scart has been enabled to let normal broadcasts and recordings to be viewed through it while the HDMI cable is in. Saying that, the error may have occurred before without me noticing it as most of my DVD back ups are for archiving purposes so I haven't really watched them all properly.

I mean on general broadcast. I can make the fault happen by deliberately causing signal errors.
