Contract only?
Is it possible to get VM BB without entering a contract? Considering the fact that I don't know how long I will have a job for these days, it would be nice to still be able to pay for BB but not be tied to a contract that I may suddenly not be able to afford.

Re: Contract only?
You will have to be very lucky if you are to do that.
You can always get PAYG virgin dialup but that is stretching it a loooooooot as you probs want broadband speeds, not dialup! :P

Re: Contract only?
Nope - all Virgin broadband services have a minimum of a 12 month term

http://www.zen.co.uk/
and
http://www.bethere.co.uk
Offer month-to-month contracts, both are highly rated ISPs, albeit ADSL.

Re: Contract only?
Be careful as be have now introduce 12 month contracts!
It now costs £20 a month for a 3 month rolling contract on Be - the £17.50 is a 12 month minimum

Re: Contract only?
So what would happen if I lost my job before my contract is up? 60 quid a week doesn't stretch to the luxuries of BB.

Whoopie.

Re: Contract only?
That is the choice that you make when you enter into any contract.

Re: Contract only?
I do believe at some point ntl used to offer a "payment protection plan" although I haven't seen it advertised since the re-brand.
