Virgin NewsGroups Speeds (Teesside)

Been getting 1300-1500KB/s with 20 connections since Saturday - normally 2399-2400KB/s.

Anyone else?

PS. I pressume it could be 'new' shaping yet its all through the day/night.

There were a decent number of problems with the new news servers towards the end of last week and some may still be waiting to be fixed.

Might be worth checking the first post in this thread to see if your area is the victim of the STM trials?

I've been having general browsing issues with pages taking a lot longer to load than normal, even though usenet is fine. It's ****ing me off a bit. I'm in Teesside too.

Usenet transfer rates have gone back to normal.

I am down to 900k at the moment, normal used to be 3600, this is getting to be very regular, hope we go up to 10Mb soon then i might get back to normal speed (the 2Mb i pay for)
