server ip is for ntl is service ports

i can anyone tell me what the server ip is for ntl service plus ports http port i want to set up my dvr recorder to the internet to view my cctv when i am in work ,do any one know how to do this

explanation this is in the instructions book for the dvr

this number gives the unit a unique id number and is required to be set manually if two units both have the same ip address then this will cause a conflict .each must be unique Normally an ip address looks simlilar :192.168.1.10 changing the last digit for each device any one know what this means i know the ip address gate way address plus sub net mask i set this up an dit disconnected my computer

anyone know what a gateway ip is ?

I expect the port will be 80 - with regards to the rest speak to VM Tech Support

You wont be able to access 192.168.x.x outside of your network.

If you can provide more details as best as possible, as your post doesn't make much sense!

I suspect that you need a router on your network that allows some sort of port forwarding from the dvr thingy to your external connection. You may also need to setup some form of domain name and dynamic tracking since your domestic connection will have a variable address.

If that sounds like gobbledegook you need to first research how to run a simple website from a home computer in terms of how that would be accessed. Then you can upgrade your website to include your dvr.
