Missing Channels Saga - Anyone aware of a solution?

I have had batches of missing channels on my V+ box intermittently occuring over the last year! I have had a complete cable repull from within the house and from outside to the main exchange box! This solved the issues for a while however over the last few months I have found intermittently i lose the channel packs like E4, Bravo, Bravo +1 (apparently this is the batch the channels are sent down in) and Living, Living +1, Radio 1.

Now the strange thing here is my other 2 samsung boxes in the house receive all channels perfectly!

Even Stranger is the V+ box can record the channels even if it cannot display the picture!!

Has anyone seen or had a problem like this before and does anyone have a clue what it could be as Virgin dont seem to have a clue!

It's likely to be a duff tuner in the V+. Get them to replace it.

Well this takes some beating.

When the fault happens, do you get an error message, a black screen, or something else?

Next time it happens, press record, and see whether the recording gets the same problem. Also try rewinding live TV. And check your Samsungs on the same channel at the same time.
