Recordings cutting off before programme completion

Anyone else having this problem? Increasingly, the V+ box is cutting off programmes before they are over. I suspect this is something to do with broadcast delays, where programmes aren't starting - particularly on the BBC - for two or three minutes after their advertised time.

I've added a 5 minute extension to the end of programmes but to no avail.

Any views?

How much are you losing ? ... I always use 10 minutes padding ... If it is a really important program , I record manually and allow an extra hour ... I know that's a lot , but it doesn't matter if you are going to delete the recording afterwards ... Theres 80 hours of recording to play with ... If I want to record two consecutive programs , I do it on manual as it only uses one tuner ... You can pad as much as you want then.

Ive had it. Ive had programs telling me thereis a clash when there isnt.

Football Italiano and Soccer AM are on Saturday Morning, and thats it, but it says Italiano is clashing...

Another thing Im seeing is programs like Eastenders are on for 27 Mins??! And thats off the EPG!

Re: Recordings cutting off before programme completion

Happened to me with Louis Theroux, it stopped about 10 - 15 mins before the end.

Re: Recordings cutting off before programme completion

I've read elsewhere on this forum that this can often be resolved by reformatting the system

Of course this will mean you lose all existing recordings, so make sure you're up to date first.

Hope this helps

I had this exact same problem, it was cutting everything i recorded off roughly 5-10 mins before the finish. I asked about it on here and someone suggested formatting the box and that seems to have cured it. Adding 10 mins of 'padding' at the end did not work for me. I formatted and now everything records fine. Even though i lost all my movies

Nope, dont make a bit of difference here!

I get it all, clashes where there is only 1 program (with the next 1 at least half hour after the intended programme has finished), recordings finishing way before they should do, blocky picture, jumping at times!

I just feel like tellin em where to put their "V+" box, more like a -V box!

Unfortunately this was because Louis Theroux started 10 - 15 minutes late (I think the darts overran). It was no t a fault in the V+ box

Re: Recordings cutting off before programme completion

When I first had my box I lost the end of recordings. Changed the settings to start 5 mins before and 10 mins after.... No problems since.
