Remote Control of Cable Box
Hello,
For as long as I can remember, I have had trouble controlling my VM cable box from my Windows XP Media Centre via one of those IRblaster things that you stick to the front of the VM box. It is very hit and miss and works about half the time. I have tried different cable boxes and I have tried many of the settings within Windows MCE.
Nothing works very well.
So, I notice that the PACE cable box has a jack socket on the back labelled
"IR REMOTE IN +5V 50mA max"
Is there someway I can utilise this to control the box with greater reliability? Has anyone tried it? I'd be interested to know...
