Re: Remote stopped working!

Do you mean it can't control the STB volume, or it can't control the STB at all? If the latter, try new batteries in the remote. Also reboot the STB.

If you just have a problem with the volume, are you pressing 'OK' after entering the 000 code? Which model remote do you have?

Re: Remote stopped working!

You may be able to reset your remote by removing the batteries over night, it depends if the remotes memory is volatile or non volatile.

Re: Remote stopped working!

It wont control the STB at all. I've changed the batteries and that doesnt seem to have worked.

Pressed select/ok after inputting the code but when i press any button on the remote the led flashes red?

The remote is a black virgin media one with silver vol and channel buttons for a pace box but its not v+

Re: Remote stopped working!

Don't just change the batteries, take them out over night to see if the remote will reset itself to the default settings. You could try to remove the batteries for 15 minutes or so and press some keys to try and drain any residual charge in the remote, then refit the batteries and see what happens.

Re: Remote stopped working!

Sounds like the remote is broken. Try taking the batteries out as banjo suggests, but I'm not hopeful. Also try giving it a tap in case any buttons are stuck down.
